NotPaper Bag Co. Hostess Gift Guide

Whether you're spending time with family or dining with neighbors across the street, a host/hostess gift is a great way to start the event off right (and ensure another invite). Coming up with the right gift can be tough, so we like to have several go-to gifts (stashed in a closet), and of course, NotPaper gift bags on hand to avoid a last minute dash to the store. Here's our guide to some of our favorite gifts:

Salt & Pepper grinders or shakers

A well-seasoned meal is all we can hope for as a host, but it is always nice to have a back-up plan.  In all seriousness, a handsome salt & paper shaker is great gift that is sure to be used for years to come.

Olive Oil

While a bottle of wine is always a lovely way to say "thanks," we prefer a nice bottle of olive oil as it is an unexpected gift and can be enjoyed for months.

A great candle is pretty and smells good, enough said.

Jigsaw Puzzle

Whether there are kids involved in the event or not, a puzzle is a terrific gift.  You can also tailor the puzzle's theme to the season, holiday or tastes of the host.
